Fillets (2015)
Fillets (2015)
Disposable aluminum BBQ with ‘chicken fillet’ silicone bra fillers, artificial grass, and stainless steel/silicone tongs.
Referencing the feminist ‘bra burning’ stereotype, Fillets draws attention to the control and oppression of women, animals and nature in patriarchal society; inspired by Carol J Adam's The Sexual Politics of Meat.
The work was featured at SPOM - an exhibition of 14 international artists at The Animal Museum, LA, USA, in 2017.
