You Take My Breath Away incorporates found images, sound, video and clothes, to examine gender roles and hierarchal structures in patriarchal society. The work is inspired by Neuroscience, Ecofeminism and Arte Povera to explore human and animal consciousness and analogous behaviours and emotions: such as empathy, play, fear, and anxiety. The work seeks to disrupt trophy hunting photographs and videos; and evoke the viewer’s sense of being sentient or what it means to feel that one is alive.
